On July 11th, I decided (somewhat sceptically) to try and follow the advice on these pages and see what I could achieve. Back then I weighed 234lb. Today, November 25th (4.5 months later) I have just reached the 50lb weight loss.

Hello Adrian,
I have no idea what to do. I am 19 years old, 141.6 lbs and 5"3.5' I was always very skinny until I was put on some medication. I went from being 115 lbs to 155 lbs in 4 months. I stoped the medication and dropped about 10 lbs in a week, now it seems that nothing I seem to do will make the weight move. I acually gained weight when I attempted to excerise over a 2 week period. I need your help!! What do you suggest me to do? I want to lose up to 30 lbs with in 3 months, is this possible? I dont have a gym and "dance" type workouts i cannot do. What should I do?

Im 25yr old (female) and i weigh 138 pounds. I need to reduce 10 to 15kg weight by December 1st week. Can that be possible. Im looking for a permanent weight loss. I would be happy even if i achieve a 10kg weight loss. Can you advice me.

Maybe not - it all depends on how tall you are plus you have to be at least 50 pounds overweight for that to happen and at 14 years old...

I doubt you have 50 pounds of fat to lose

I started the lose 50 lb track a week ago, and I've lost 4 lb this week. I'm pretty excited about this (I know it's super-soon to report, but knowing that I've stuck to this for a week and not gotten discouraged is a big thing to me. I've always been overweight.) I'll check back later with more. I've been using Wii Fit/Intervals along with sticking to the 5 small meals a day.

Yes I'll be doing light exercise upto my limit, I'll be working out from 6-7am then eat breakfast and workout again at 9:30am to 12:30 eat lunch and then do intervals workouts for an hour..

I was also wondering, would I need to count calories?

Heres my daile meals M-Sun

7am, Apple/banana with low fat milk

Noon 12:30pm, Grapes/apple or banana/ one of each with tuna

Snack 3:20pm, apple/banana

Dinner 5pm, Apple/banana with 1 or 2 eggs

Snack 9pm Bedtime, Banana

.... and water troughout the day

5 hours a day of light exercise is okay so if your exercise on a level of under 5 on a scale of 1-to-10 with 10 being hardest then that's fine for 5 hours a day but...

Anything over 5 can and should NOT be done for 5 hours a day and stuff like intervals (see Nowloss.com/i) should only be done 40 mintues a day 3-4 times a week

Your goal is possible but I would still consider it a triumph if you lost 100 pounds which you will! but...

You don't have to do any fad diets like eating only fruit & water.

Don't be scared and yes...

you may or may not get tired but you know what...

If you give it your all - you will be losing weight fast and you probably won't need my help anymore and people will start coming to you for weight loss tips but...

I am 35 yrs old, 211pds, and 6'0. I have a total gym at home. I work out on it about three times a week, doing mainly squats, pullups, chinups. I also power/walk and jog, about 3 to 4 times a week.I have been consistent with this about 3 weeks. I start out on the treadmill warming up for 5 minutes at 3mph. Then I alternate between 3.4 and 5 mph, for about 45 minutes. I am wondering am I doing enough? For the last week I have been cleaning up my diet. No fast food, skinless chicken, lots of tuna fish. I only eat 1 piece of wheat bread a day.Aim at 5 small meals a day. My only vice is a small bowl of chocolate frozen yogurt after dinner. I am very interested in your treadmill workout, 10 seconds of running fast, followed by 5-7 seconds of rest. I wanted to start at 6mph, but I not really sure. Any suggestions on how fast to start on my treadmill? Any tips on my diet? Should I stick with my treadmill routine or is it time to ramp it up? I really need to lose 50 pds in a about 5 months. Any help you give me would be greatly appreciated.


Hi Adrian, I want to follow your program and lose 50lbs. I am a 27 year old female, 5'4 and weigh 190lbs. My problem is that for the next couple of months I have to fast (religous purpose) everyday until 3pm. Therefor, the only intake I can consume is water until 3pm. After that I am free to eat freely. What can I do?

I just wanted to take the time to share my results with you all, because there are a lot of questions on this website, but few people talk about their results!

I came here a couple of weeks ago and I didn't know which weightloss program to choose! I wanted to lose weight very fast and I was upset at the idea of not having good and fast results!

I finally made up my mind and started the 50+ permanent weightloss program, because I estimated that I had 35 pounds to lose!

After 6 weeks, I can tell you that I lost a lot of weight by following Adrian's program... I can't tell how many pounds I lost, because I didn't weigh myself, but I realise, when I look in the mirror, that I am satisfied with what I see and have achieved until now!

I feel better in my own skin and I know for sure that it's all that matters now! All my new clothes are too big and I fit again in the clothes I couldn't wear anymore! I also have comments from the people around me! It's very rewarding!

I will continue the weightloss program, because it helped me to develop a healthier lifestyle and better eating habits!

I am so much happier now and it wasn't about loosing 35 pounds... I still have a lot to do to achieve that goal, but I feel safe to achieve it with time and a balanced lifestyle and no pressure in the process!

i really want to get a scale but my friend is saying that a scale wouldn't work for me because im " thick boned" which makes no sense. She also says that if i were to lose 20 pounds i wouldn't really see a difference whereas a flabbier person would lose 20 pounds and they would see a difference. Then she went on to say that i would have to look in the mirror instead of having a scale to see results. So my questions are: is my friend right and would looking at the mirror every week be better than watching the numbers on the scale? Thank you for your help.

I was wondering what workout would get me fast results and get me ripped. I want to get down to about 180lbs. I have a little more fat showing in my neck and face area which i would love to get rid of and I would love to get my 6 pack back. I had one growing up til I was about 16 then it just went down hill because of an arm injury when I was playing baseball so I am not as active now.
