how do i know if what I need are fat-loss exercises or ab exercises to tone-up my tummy? I feel the hardness of my abs are only a few layers of fat away, but I am scared that if I do ab exercises, it might just make my tummy bigger. pls help me.

iF YOU DO INTERVALS (see nowloss.com/i) you can't expect any muscle loss b/c the workouts are short and intense but...

if you are 12% then you're almost at the 8-to-12% range to see your six pack abs


Hey Adrian,

For the past month I've been putting on weight, I currently weigh 72kg and have a body fat percentage of 12%. Because of my weight gain, I've noticed that my stomach is getting bigger, I can feel my abs behind the layer of fat. I'm worried if I start to do cardio to lose my stomach fat, that I'll lose the muscle i have recently gained. Is my stomach just bloated from all the food I have been eating? or should I stop eating before bed? any advice?

how about doing "twists" at the waist to make my wide waist smaller. My stomach is flat, its just a little wide. Do twists help to get that hourglass shape?

Hi Adrian, I am 5'5" and weigh 170. I want to lose the last 20 lbs in the next 6 weeks. I did my first Taebo bootcamp workout today and it felt good. Can I do Taebo 4 times a week and walk the other 2? Do you think this will be sufficient to lose 10-15 lbs in 6 weeks. I have been doing weight watchers to keep my food in check, so I do pretty good with that.

I have hit a plateau and my legs cannot handle twice a day intervals. I was considering adding taebo twice a week to change up my routine. I have been doing intervals and run/walk routines for the last 3 months. Do you think this is a good idea, since my problem areas are my stomach and arms. I really want tone arms and a flat stomach.

Adrian, forgot to add. I also began weight training 20-30 mins, 3-4 times a day. How do I mix this up with taebo. My waist is just not getting slimmer!

there is no special exercise to get rid of back rolls and to get rid of any fat - you just need to go on a diet and exercise plan here to burn fat

You probably will not lose anymore leg fat so just keep doing what you are doing to lose weight to lose belly fat and even if you do keep getting skinnier legs...

The only way to lose any fat is to go on a weight loss plan and these exercises will firm and tone target areas making it "LOOk" slimmer but only a weight loss plan will truly remove the fat


Hi, i have just started a weight loss plan and was looking for some tone up exercises to go with it, your exercises look great but will they work first off or will i have to lose weight with cardio before i start with target zone exercises? i would love to lose the fat on my hips (love handles) and my belly. trouble is i had a c-section 2 years ago and since then i have very little feeling from my belly button down to my scar and its flabbier than the upper part of my belly, will i still be able to shift the flab?? waiting in anticipation!! thanks

So, I have 18-19% body fat, 5'6, 135 lbs, eat right, and active BUT I am still struggling to reduce my waist and get rid of those love handles!?! At one point I was 125 - 130 lbs but I thought I looked too skinny since I have an athletic look but I still have the love handles despite that. I now have a 29 inch waist that is flat with definition BUT I feel like it's wide and I still have those love handles on the side. I want to reduce my waist to 26 to 27 inches but I'm having the hardest time achieving that goal. I think my diet is right, I train like an athlete and do cardio. What am I doing wrong??? You may want to look at why VLCD's may not work for some people


how many times do i have to do tae bo to do results? right now i just drink water each day and only eat one meal and i did the workout that you showed with the squats and the dumbell and the squat to push ups. ....i dnt know the name of it....all this helps but i want to change it up a bit....so basicially i want to know how much times a week do i have to do tae bo to have a good amount of result?

Since you're weight is normal - you may just need to keep Doing a variety of oblique "love handle" exercises to tighen up that area


Im 5'1 and I weight around 102 pounds. I have next to no figure at all; curves don't exist for me. When I suck in my belly, I can sort of see some curves. I don't really have much of a problem with extra fat on my belly anymore.. its just my love handles. when I run, I can feel them jiggling! its really annoying, and i've been trying so hard to get rid of them by doing exercises targeting them, and by running. But they aren't really going away =/ what else should i do? and is it possible to do an exercise wrong and it will make you build OUT? instead of in and become leaner?

I have no waist-to-hip ratio but have major love handles as well as a fatty lower ab mid section. What is the best exercise? I go to the gym almost everyday doing the elliptical for 30-45 minutes and do about 50 crunches for each left and right side as well as 50 regular.

If you keep the weight "light" and the reps high (10-to-15) then you shouldn't have to worry about a boyish midsection


In attaining an hourglass figure, I believe that actually shrinking the waist to enhance the curvy look is essential. The fear that I have with doing these oblique exercises is that the muscle will 'thicken' so to speak, thus creating a box-like or boy-ish figure. Will these exercises thicken the oblique muscle, or encourage the creation of a tiny, curvy waist (which is my aim)?

Usually, ab exercises will only firm and tighten up the area and the only chance your midsection wll get thicker if you use heavy weights for your ab exercises


i am about 5'9" and 123 lbs. i look like a ruler though. i would like a narrower waistline and i saw some exercises for ab work, and obliques, but won't that thicken the waistline?
