I have been trying to loose weight scene 7 months now. I am eating veggies, fruits and all the healthy foods. I dont even touch sugar , candies, or fast food. I exercise for 1 hour 5 times a week. But I haven't lost a pound yet.

I just started today with the emergency plan. I only ate one meal so far - I ate a banana, apple, and drank my 8 oz of protein with water. I was not hungry after that so I ate nothing (that was at like 9am). At 11 am I was hungry so I ate a 100 cal pack. I started eating every 2-3 hrs to keep my metabolism up a few weeks ago so I don't know if my body is used to this but..My question is: Is it ok to eat the 0-300 cal meal a couple hrs after you finish the fruit/veggies and protein? and then like 2 hrs after that have the fruit/veggies and protein again? and continue with this cycle? (of course only if I'm hungry in between the fruit/veggies and protein shake)

And my legs are pretty in shape from playing softball however I have what everyone calls the "stubborn belly fat" and I can't seem to get rid of it. Hi Adrian, I weight 128 lbs and I'm 5'2. I've been going to the gym for the past 2 weeks, I've been working out about 5 times a week, 3 hours each day, doing 30 mins of cardio and the rest in weight training. I would like to lose 20 pounds by Dec 15, so that's in 7 weeks. Is it possible? I haven't lost a thing, but I notice that I have more endurance. I just received your workout DVD and wanted to know if one of the workouts on your DVD would be good with this plan? They are only 10 minutes long. Would that be enough exercise or should I do it twice for a 20 minute exercise. What about weights? Mornings is good if you do it but if you are working 2x a day regarless then you'll be a lot better than the person who works out 1x a day

Weight flucates a lot at times but 10 pounds in 2 days is a lot and the only way I see 10 pounds that quick (weight gain or weight loss) would be due to water loss or water retention and...

Your diet and workout plan is good enough to ward off any water retention so the only way I can see a big water gain on your part is if it's something hormonal but even if it is...

I can't see it lasting for too much longer.

I really want to drop 20lbs in 4 weeks. i plan on getting a gym membership so i can take advantage of their machines and follow your tips for a High Intensity Interval Workout. Heres my question recently I have started making my own little protein smoothies i guess you'd call it. I use some frozen fruit i buy from the supermarket like starwberries, rasberries, blueberries, and peaches an bananas, i add a cup of low fat light n fit yogurt,i started using one scoop of whey protein but now i up it to 2 scoops, i sprinkle some wheat germs, i add one can of pineapple juice and a few cubes of ice. IS this good or is there anything i should be changing? It usually makes quite a bit an normally i pour the smoothie into 2 pretty big servings and drink 2x a day, should I be spreading it out to maybe 3 or 4 smaller servings? Also my last question is, as i was reading your guidelines for the High Intensity Interval Workouts you said for faster weight loss to do it 2x a day 3-4x a wk. I work nights at my job so if I were to do tae bo when I get home from work most nights and then go to the gym when I wake up 8 or 9 hrs later before going back to work will that work also?

I've been visiting your site for awhile & using your plan to get in shape, but I've run into a problem.
I'm a 5'11 woman who currently weighs 200lbs.
I used to weigh 190 two days ago and I can't believe I've put on 10 pounds in two days.
For the past two weeks I've been using the Slim in 6 work out DVDs everyday and going for 30-45 minute daily walks. I've decreased my caloric intake to under 1200 calories and follow the plan of eating veggies, then a shake, and then extra food depending on how hungry I am. I also make sure to drink at least a half gallon of water per day.

For the past two days I have increased my exercise by doing the Slim in 6 DVD workout, going for a walk, and doing a Tae Bo Bootcamp DVD workout. I really don't understand why I would gain this much weight over the last two days, but it's really discouraging.

Can you give me any advice or point out what I'm doing wrong?

Not eating the fourth meal will not sabotage your diet and it may help you lose more weight faster so don't stress out abut not eating that fourth meal.


I just wanted everyone to know that I started this diet on Monday. Today is Thursday (day 4 of the diet) and I have already lost 5lbs. I am 5'8", 21 years old, and my starting weight was 226. My goal weight eventually is 148, so I do have a significant amount of weight to lose which is probably attributing to the early success. I feel great, have lots of energy, and I am literally never hungry. After the fruits/vegetables and protein, I am not able to consume any more calories. I start off each meal with a large glass of ice water. I drink water ALL day long. I have been drinking about 1.5 gallons per day. With the water and the fresh produce, junk food looks gross to me. I don't feel like I am missing out on anything. Also, I am a diet coke addict. I haven't had a drop all week and I am okay with that. Even though I have plenty of it in my fridge staring at me.

Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for this diet and let everyone know that I am doing great so far. I wish everyone else equal success. I will keep you posted on my progress.

I had rotator cuff repair 6wks ago and recently weighed in at 150lbs. I am 5'4" and 40 years old. After my injury in March I was placed on prednisone for several weeks and gained at least 15 lbs. Inactivity because of my shoulder injury added 20 lbs more to my previous weight of 125 lbs. I have been given the go ahead from my surgeon to begin shoulder rehab and to resume walking. I currently work night shift and on my days off I am up during the day I have been doing this for almost two years could this be a factor in my ablity to lose weight? I have been working out 5 days a week for about a month now and I have not lost one darn lb. I have two questions for you, i want to lose 60 pounds so after doing this work out plan and losing the 20 pounds will it work if i continue to do it over again until i reach my goal weight? Can i lose more than the 20 pounds in the 3-4 weeks?


Hello. I am a marathon runner and I train anywhere between 25-45 miles per week. I am 30 years old, male, 5-5 and weigh 162. Ideally I would like to weigh around 145. People are surprised that I don't lose weight when I run - I actually maintain my weight. BUT I want to lose 15-20 pounds to be lighter on my feet which will obviously improve my times. I'll be honest in that my diet sucks. I know that I need to create a caloric deficit to lose weight but I need to, at the same time, have enough calories to fuel my running. any thoughts? Is the 20loss plan a plan for me or do you have a more specific plan for someone as active as myself?

What happens if your hunger level is zero after the 100 cal protein scoop and 2 pieces of fruit? Should you eat nothing or force down a 150 cal meal?
