Hi pretty good information here, ok i am trying to lose some weight i used to drink lots of coca cola but not anymore, but what i do have like around lunch time with my meal is 1 Zero coca cola only 1 a day is this still bad? thank you

Uhh, well, I eat really healthy meals but I think my portions are a bit off... but now I have increased my exercise according to your plans and stopped drinking my soda again...

I'm 16 and trying to lose about 5-6kgs.. I've had soda (or fizzy drinks as we call them here) since i was about three and last year i completely stopped drinking them and nothing changed.. i've started drinking them again and still nothing happened.. i find that really weird..
why do you think this is?
also, i have a friend that's really quite thin and she drinks sodas like there's no tomorrow!
i'm so confused!

I don't think it's BAD for you overall but you may want to limit it if you're trying to lose weight


Is drinking decaffinated unsweet tea bad for you? I know tea has antioxidants in it but I am not sure if it's good for you.


I drink about 3 to 4 12 oz. cans of soda per week. I don't drink it for the caffeine, decaffeinated works fine for me. I don't crave the sugar either. I just love the way an ice cold soda tastes when it goes down. I seriously doubt that I will ever give it up. Although I used to drink 10 or more can per week.


I know soda is bad. I drink probablly 3 sodas or more a day, and a lot of the times I HAVE to have 1 in the morning! My little sister who's probablly a bigger soda drinker than me, just stopped cold turkey a week ago, and I already see results, so now it motivated me! I stopped drinking soda 2 days ago, although yesterday, I DID have a few sips of a fountain soda! It's definitely hard, but I am biting my tongue about it, and drinking lots of tea, juice, and I even had more water! I will leave another comment to inform everyone how I'm doing! Thanks

Is diet soda as bad for you as regular? I know it doesn't have sugar but I've heard it's just as bad if you're trying to lose weight.

Wow reading this makes me feel like your all doing great, I drink a case(24 12 oz cans) every 2 1/2 days, its usually the 3rd day that i buy a new one. I'd say about 10 cans a day, Im 27 and have been doing this for about 10 years. I only drink Mellow Yellow, which I know is unhealthy. But I do have a seriuos addiction to it. Its probable its the only thing I drink almost every day, very occasional I have a bottle of water or glass of milk. I understand how bad it is for me, but I get irratated, upset, almost lost if I do not have my soda next to me at all times. Beyond your chart, Is there any way to really defeat this? I just dont think Im strong enough to stop by taking less every week, That makes me think I would have to count them (which I dont)and than Id fill deprived and want it even more HELP


i quit drinking soda about 3 weeks ago. i was drinking about 5ish cans of soda a day, sometimes more if i was having a long day at work. when i quit, it was cold turkey. i didn't experience headaches or anything. i don't love drinking water, but i do love the taste of sparkling water that is like 50 cents for a liter. and i love vitamin water, which sucks because it has a lot of sugar, but it tastes very good and is not soda.


To stop drinking soda..now thats a hard thing to do. I was addicted to soda. Even if it had caffein. Every night i would wake up and go straight to my refrigerater to drink soda. If i didnt drink soda i wouldnt be able to sleep. Thats how addicted i wasto sada. I would also drinkabout 4 cans of mountain dew everyday..even after my workout.Until one day my doctor told me to stop drinking and eating junk food. I saw that as an opportunity and so i did. Now ive been soda free for more than a year now

One can a day is a good start for the first week but don't get down on yourself if you drink more than that your first week but make sure that later on down the line that each week you're drinking less & less and as always...

I drink between 3 and 5 cans of regular and diet coke per day ! I would like to stop all together but have tried cutting down and just go back to it again.I worked out on the chart that i would be drinking a lot still in the first week.How would it effect me if i tried just one can a day to wean myself off?

Reading this will help stop your cravings for soda and you should do the plan on this page to stop drinking soda so basically...

Each week you should drink 1 less soda a day and by the 4th or 5th week you should be able to quit sodas and...

start exercising so you can start craving more water over soda

I will not lie it is the taste that keeps me drinking the soda. I love the flavor. I hate water and the bland taste it has, and all those flavored water drinks. GROSS. And diet sodas are no better. What can I do to replace my sodas? I have know doubt that sodas are the reason I have added so much weight. I totally live off the stuff throughout the week. What can/should I do?
