Dear adrian, I'm a 34yr. Old female I weigh 354.7lbs. I'm going for consultation for the lapband, but I want to see how much weight I can loose while wating. I go back to the dr. On dec.15, if I can get off to a good start and stay on track maybe I want have to have the surgery. I started drinking whey/soy protein shakes. when I don't drink the ready-to-drink cans, I mix my own with 8oz of 2% milk. I drink v-8 juice(spicey hot) and eat a lot of the weightloss foods on your list and fruit, and drink plenty of cold water. Is this ok,because sometimes you get on the scale and you loose weight, then it seem like it goes back up then other times it don't move at all. Is it true when you don't see the scale move can be losing inches? And when it seems like you gain a lb back its really muscle? Please help any input would be helpful.my goal is to get to 250lbs.

I am on my own homemade custom diet for 3 weeks and I've lost 18 pounds!!! How is this done? Half a big box of TOTAL RAISIN BRAN which is 8 oz. per day (about 4.5 serving,675 calories all carbs).45 to 55% of your daily calories should be carbs.These are complex cabs which 20% of them get burned off during digestion (675 turns into 540 cals)plus the cereal is high in fiber which makes you fell really full. Watermelon (no idea),3 carrots 20 calories each,3 stalks of cellery 20 calories each,6 slices of wheat bread 50 calories each,(1) 5 oz. Can of solid white tuna in water 120 calories,1) small can of sardines in water 150 calories and water is all I eat.The fish is for protein beef has more calories than fish1250 calories total plus the watermelon calories.There's a catch of course to this... I run from 6 to 10 miles per day(90 to 130 cals per mile depends on weight) Let's go w/110 per mile @ 8 miles plus 2 miles of walking at 45 cals per mile.That's 970 cals per run&walk.1250 minus 970 is 280 cals I take in per day plus I'm on HYDROXYCUT (norepinephrine is the hormone in your body that controls how fast you burn fat. HYDROXYCUT can increase norepinephrine levels in your body by up to 92%) for the past week so there's no tell ing what amount of cals that's burning (maybe it burns of 280 cals??)I may be breaking even at 0 cals for the day. The average persons diet is 2,000 calories and it takes 3,500 calories to burn a pound.I ate just carrots,watermelon and celery for 30 hours str8 (no carbs). I burned off 2.3 lbs in 30 hours w/8 miles of running in there!! I was 212 when I started. Now I'm 194. 10 pounds in the 1st 13 days w/o HYDROXYCUT. Whatever your weight is divide it by half and that's the amount of oz. of water you should drink. I don't even lift any weights. Once I get into it it will only enhance the effects of the HYDROXYCUT.

Also avoid all food and drinks w/ high fructose corn syrup. Its a cheap form of sugar which turns into fat really quickly. (Soda,cakes,cookies etc.) Basically everything you eat has it. Vitamin Water has crystalline sugar so it's great. YOUR BODY DOES NOT NEED SUGAR TO SURVIVE AT ALL!!!! A gram of fat has 9 calories and carbs and protein have only 4 calories per gram. BOTTOM LINE IS STAY AWAY FROM FAT!! Carbs give you energy, they are not bad. Complex carbs that is, stay away from refined carbs.Eat a couple of bowls of cereal of some pasta and then go for a run. You will feel great and full of energy. Try this w/o carbs and see the difference.I'M STILL TRYING TO COME UP WITH DIFFERENT AND BETTER DIET'S FOR ALL PEOPLE. I think whatever it is you are doing to lose weight that you are on the right track and you dont need to worry about how much fat it is you are consuming but here's what you do need to realize...

#1 - since you already look good - its going take longer for you to lose more weight unless..

#2 - you do more intervals (see NowLoss.com/i and How to speed up weight loss here and/or...

#3 - eat less calories which at this point of your weight loss journery - your fat loss will be more because of your workout intenisty intead of how much you eat but you should eat between 1100-to-1400 calories anyway


i recently had my son 5mths ago and have been working out everyday cardio/strength training and i eat a strict diet of 8 almonds a day plain chicken breast steamed veggies salad, tuna, fiber cereal i piece low cal wheat bread... i am 5'3 127 lbs and feel good, but i would like to lose more weight. i was 169 when i delivered my son. i just want to know if i need more healthy fat in my diet. i take one fish oil a day, green tea supp., cinnamon suppl.... but i am not sure of what kind of fat to eat because i am terrified to gain weight, but i am afraid my body is clinging onto the fat i have b/c i dont eat alot of fat... so i need to know what kind of food to eat. also would cla benefit me? thanks for your time??

weight loss is all about the total calories, quality of foods, and activity

I will be fasting in about one month. I'll be fasting for a month due to religious reasons, and I was wondering if I can loose weight like this?

I plan on eatingg only that one meal I'll be eating at like..8 and stop eatnig after. Suually when Im fasting, I only take 10-15 mins to eat what ever Im eating and the best bit is I get full really fast.

But, would it make me gain weight or loose?

If I have a table spoon full of grape mollassis and 1 tea spoon of honey daily or 4-5 times a week..would it prevent me from loosing weight? I add grape mollassis to my original balkan style yoguurt...andd I add honey and a slice of lemon to my organic green tea.

If all you been doing is eating bad foods for a while then YES...

You can lose a lot of weight just by making that simple change

I believe the 'type of food' thing. While on the same number of calories per day and eating balanced (30-40-30, I definitely lose weight faster if I focus on the darker fish (tuna and salmon mostly) for protein, apples for carbs, and almonds for oils. I have too many frustrating plateaus if I eat things like pork, bread, or margarine instead ...and that's with the same caloric intake (I repeat myself.)
