I gained 14 pounds, when i don't over eat at all. I have a tea cup, full of cold cereal with vitamin D milk. (210 calories), a ganola three hours after and a 400-500 calorie lunch, then a light dinner or a nutri bar. i exercise every week(2-4) times a week. at first i lost 30 pounds, then I gained back 14 pounds in 3 months. i am angry and dont understand why. I am suppose to be losing weight. but i plateau and gained. i dont understand. |

My problem being this....in one year i have lost a total of 170 pounds...exercise and change of eating habits...Its been a year and I have kept the weight off...but still have another 50 pounds to go. As you can imagine, I have alot of extra skin that no matter what I do, I cant seem to get rid of. I was always wearing baggy clothes when I was a size 32 womens..now I am a size 12 and can buy clothes in the jr section( which is so freaking awesome!) but am still covering up. my upper arms, my legs and stomach all have extra skin hanging. I feel wonderful..until I look in the mirror..and I am so frustrated!!! please help me!!!!!!! Im desperate!!!! (cant afford the body lift thing...wish I could!) |

I have lost 42 pounds since January and I'm stuck..I haven't lost any weight in the past few weeks...I do Turbo Jam an hour 6 days a week and weight training 4 days a week......I'm 5'6" and I weigh 206 pounds and I would like to lose about 40 more pounds. Hey. Im 17 years old and weigh about 178 pounds. Im always tired of looking at myself like this and want to lose weight immediatly. I am about 12 kilos overweight and have put it on over the last 4 years. I have only eaten about 1000 calories a day during that time. My personal trainer tells me i have to increase my calories gradually each day, by eating 3 meals and 2 snacks and get my calories from the right type of foods? is this right? |

I recently started working out to drop some extra weight. I started working with a trainer 3 times a week ( 25 mins 2 days, 1 day for an hour)for about a month and a half and along with that I worked out on my own for 6 days a week doing a combination of running, walking, the stairmaster, etc. for about 30-45 mintues each day. I was on a defciet of 500-1000 calories per day mostly between the range of 500-700 with the exception of 2 or 2 or 3 days out of the week when it was closer to 800-1000. I have lost only 8lbs and now I am stuck. My question is do you think that my deficets are to high (do I need to be eating more calories) or do you think its a combination of that plus changing up my workout routine? When I work out with my trainer we do different things all the time and when i work out on my own i usually hop on the treadmill and do intervals of very fast running, slowing down to walking, fast walking then running again until i get tired and i continue this for about 30-45mins, some days thats all I will do and some days I do the stair master or the elliptcal after. Please let me know what you think might be preventing me from losing more wieght. I have not seen the scale move for about 2 weeks. Also, I am about 20-25lbs from my goal weight which is also the normal weight for my height and weight. Thank you and by the way you website is awesome! |

Help me please. I being running on elyptical for about 3 months. Now I'm running 1 hour, 6 miles x hour and between 600 to 700 caliories x hour. I was losing, but I have not lose even 1 pound since 3 weeks ago. My actual weight is 183. What should I do now? |

hello, i have been on a diet for a few monnths now. I have only been eating aboit 1100-1200 calories a day. When i started the diet i weighed 178, i now weigh 155. But i cant seem to lose anymore. I want to increase my calories to about 1500-1600 , will i gain all the weight back that i lost. |

I'm 20, 135 lbs, and 5 foot 2. I'm trying to lose 15 lbs. I recently had a baby & have already lost most of the weight I gained (50 lbs) but I just can't seem to lose anymore. Actually I'm going back and forth between gaining a few lbs then losing them again. I eat 3 meals a day, I cut out sweets & soda, I run 2 miles a day on my treadmill & still feel disgustingly fat & definitely don't have my pre-baby hot bod back. What else can I do? |

I was stuck at around 317 for the whole month of november, then i weighed before christmas and i was at 298. I was on week vacation at christmas eating sugar and fats now i'm 309 but hopefully thats alot of water weight. I've been working out really hard the last 2 months (i have a trainer 3 days/week and did a bootcamp) it just seems i should be losing more than 0-2 pounds/week at this weight. I was thinking of adding the raw veggies before each meal i saw on one of your diet recommendations. Also, what do you think of not eating any carbs in the evening - would it help? Also, is it better to eat before or after working out? I was thinking of eliminating diet coke as well - could be making me put out insulin and storing more cals as fat. Thanks for your help! |

Hi, I'm 42 years old and I've been dieting and exercising for the last 2 months with 20 pounds of weight loss, by watching my caloric intake and being more active. The first 20 pounds came off in a few weeks, now I'm stuck and have been for over a month!! I have changed my workouts from 20 minutes to an hour I've added hiking over the weekends I've restricted my calorie intake to about 1200 a day with small meals. I'm on an vlcd. I consume 1000 cals or less every day. I drink the right amount of water for my weight and stay away from foods with high fat content. I've been on this diet for 2 months maybe more and I haven't lost anything I weigh 145 pounds and I'm trying to get down to at least 125. I excercise every day for 30 min or more. Hi I'm currently on the Nutrisystem program and I eat about 1200-1300 calories a day and I exercise 5 days a week for a hour each day but my weight loss is very slow. I strive to lose 1-2 pounds a week but i don't . I'm suppose to drink at least 64 ounces of water a day and sometimes I don't get it all in could this be the problem for my slow weight loss? You workout first,then eat afterwards. Because if you eat first you will become bloated. Make sure IF you eat first, that you do so in a small portion. The best way to gain muscle is to take protein. |

Yep but I need you to hear my story out then decide....wen i first started dieting i lost weight quick. I use to wieght 9 stones and 7 pounds and i went down to 8 stones 4 pounds. But then I went back to my normal eating habbits and i went back upto 8 stones 10 pounds. den I went on a diet again and I started eating about 800 to 0900 calories a day and I use to lose 1 pound a week wen i got to 8 stones four pounds I put da other six pounds on again the following week and I went to 8 stones 10 den I started the 800 calories diet again and went down to 8 stone 4 but then when I started eating properly I put the 6 pounds on again and I put on an extra 3 pounds. So i was 8 stones 13 pounds. but then i decided to increase my calorie intake to 1200 a day and very forcefully i have managed to lose 4 pounds in like 3 months. And now the weight wont shift even though I only eat 1200 calories a day.... A dont seem to understand why..please help me i want to lose atleat 5 more pounds and stay at 8 stones and 4 pounds but i still cant be seem to losing it why??????? please help |

Yes I have changed my exercise routine a couple of times but I still dont seem to be losing any weight???? I did yoga, then walking and now I jog for 20 mins but still cant lose weight???I weigh 8 stones and 9lbs abd would love to go down to 8 stones. I diet for 5 days and eat 1200 calories! I started at 175 and now I'm 161. I've been at 161 for a month now. I increased my exercise and started doing more intense exercise (step aerobics, kickboxing, weights). I was doing walking and weights previously. It's been about 2 weeks since I changed my exercise and I still haven't lost anything. |
