Cingular has cost me clients. I use my cell as a busy line so that I can make myself available. Nothing like getting a call from a new inquiring client just to have the call dropped mid sentence, then dropped repeatedly throughout the call. Really helps me portray professionalism. I love being charged $175.00 to break a contract on service that doesn't work. The internet service is cheap but doesn't have spam control. You can press spam all you like with unsolicited emails with no result. Customer service politely lays on the crap, suggesting you upgrade your phone. Ha! Been there done that...AT&T rakes in our money knowing that their service is substandard. Their Bundle package is a bundle of shit.

Gravatar Here’s why I hate AT&T. We had a new DSL line put into our building last friday. Monday I show up with my DSL modem and I don’t have sync. I call tech support and the number they gave me belongs to someone elses account. They set me up for a new install, the new number they gave me is a number already coming into my building. I tell them no that won’t work so they give me the original number that belongs to someone else. They tell me It’s just an “old account” I say “fine whatever” I get a confirmation call today for the wrong number. The one already existing as a DSL line in our building. So I call again. We already have one 1.5Mb line with static IP’s they tell me that 1.5 isn’t available anymore 768 is the highest available AND that static IP’s aren’t available on 768 so I have to get 384. So now I have less than a quarter of the speed and I’m paying twice as much. She tells me that the order is for the correct number and she doesn’t see anything for the incorrect number. I’ve got my fingers crossed and am hoping they don’t move the wrong number over and take down half of my business. ALSO they had the nerve to ask me “is there any reason you couldn’t say that you were completely satisified with AT&T’s service?”


Gravatar Tomb, thanks for writing about your experience. I think that more or all of the telecoms stink as far as customer service and pricing go, so I doubt its much better if you try other providers. I've had the best luck with TDS, but mileage probably varies depending on individual experiences.


Gravatar Of course I hate these f's. But they are closed for the weekend, so what am I to do? If the popular world is burying the important, so must be the local world. These f's will not answer my phone calls (based on their signages of my name, which doesn't fly). I cannot send a picture of my stupid pekingese in a pirate hat, or a opossum on my back porch. I just wanted to send a picture of these fun shits. ATT just wants to crap in its own mouth and make me pay for it, fuck that, and fuck ATT. If there is a differing opinion, why doesn't ATT just pay some Punjabi to answer the phone when I call? These folks do not feel the same off-time as us Americans. GD-you, ATT, I want to fightclub your face into a state of apologetics and improved learnings. GD, I just wanted to send a pic of my dog in a pirate hat. Is that so wrong? You racist devils. I hope you get put into stocks and are made to wear the bit made so famous in Toni Morrison's Beloved. Hurry up, CEO's or I can and will dismantle your house of cards that you call a bidness.
