I have done the $50 bonus three times. One of the times I used the EBates.com trick where you can get an extra $20. I have started a fourth account, but it is a custodial account for my oldest daughter. I will open a custodial account for my middle daughter after that clears, and then for my youngest daughter. I will then go through this cycle so that they each have three bonuses.
After that, I am going to get my wife to do three bonuses, and then run through the three kids three times each, again.
That will be a total of 24 bonuses of $50... $1200!
Anyhow, I made some good picks, so far, and I am up quite a bit. And I have the free dividend reinvesting turned on, so the shares are growing at a good clip too. I bought at least $50 worth with each bonus, and then I turned the bonus around for some more shares, as well.
Also, there is an option to get a free one-month trial of the Standard account which features six automatic investment trades, so you avoid the $4 commission. Just cancel it after your trade executes.
