Anyone who is dumb enough to pony up $8+ dollars to see a ~2 hour movie, while simultaneously paying drug-dealer prices for basic refreshments deserves whatever they get...

No, its not 'morons' and leave it at that. You know thats not what I meant.
However, you have identified 7 seperate phenotypes in your theatre bucket sort. Some people actually occupy more than one catagory. What are the odds you will enter a theatre that has none of the above? Its a given going into the situation that there are going to be fuquetards there. If you go on opening night, evn worse, but by careful time and location selection, you can usually cut out some types of them. Or gain a low enough density that you can avoid the ones that remain.
Drive-in movies, DVD's and not going are other options that keep such annoyance down to a minimum. But it is a self-inflicted wound, with salt and optional butter rubbed into it for good measure.
You know the social contract of the theatre and its defects before you go in. You paid almost a full tank of gas for tickets for a family of 4, and unless you have exceptional smuggling skills, almost as much again if you buy something.
My point is, dont, lol.

Yes. And so is working outside the home, attending any social events, and even (gasp) posting on the Internet.
You wouldn't suggest that rude, inconsiderate people are only found in the movie theater?
It comes with the territory. If one wants to be around people, one ends up running into these types. Never leaving home is a good way to avoid them, but who would want to do it? I'd rather have my own fun at their expense.

I went to Hellboy yesterday and had the new parents right behind me. I don't begrudge them the need to get out but damn, Hellboy was an awfully loud and scary movie to bring a baby too. The kid was just old enough to sit up and could clearly see the screen. That had to be kind of alarming to the little one.

I agree, not a good idea! What do you want to bet that right now they're, "Honey, I don't know why, but little Johnny keeps waking up screaming"?
