I wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment. This is exactly how I feel about Waffles and - thanks to you - Swinging Popsicle (even though I have only ever made it to a single live show by the former).

Thanks for your comment, Jared.
I'm happy to hear that I introduced you to Swinging Popsicle. And Waffles is, indeed, one of those bands...I don't know how many times I've listened to "Tsugi No Hikari", and "5.3" will always evoke happy memories for me of the guitar pop scene in the early 2000's...

Swinging Popsicle's "Chocolate Soul Music" and Waffles' "Tsugi no Hikari" are among my favorite songs ever. I've listened to the former nearly a thousand times or more since I first bought the album in June '07. D:

Damn straight - If you're not playing serious groupie to at least one band you aren't doing it right. I was lucky enough to have the time to follow two bands when I was in Tokyo this time. 8 gigs in 3 months for one (The Husky), 14 for the other (Wakaba).
After one The Husky gig I was unable to talk about it for 3 days because it had been so great it LITERALLY made my head hurt to think about too hard.
It always makes me laugh talking to my students over there because they've NEVER heard of any of the bands I'm going to see, and that doesn't matter, because I still love them...

Michael,
I haven't heard of Husky (like the dog?)or Wakaba either. I should look into them. Thanks for the tips.
