Kiyoshiro was a special figure for Japanese rock 'n' roll, taking a lot of stuff from its western counterpart, of course, but also giving J-rock a distinct voice. And he was a great performer, singer and writer of songs; a lot of people, including me, grew up listening to his rock music. A lot of them came to pay their last respects...
