Wow, it must be an epidemic. Mine just closed up on Purim - I removed it to replace it with a hoop, and it wouldn't go back in. But its making a comeback - just as soon as I go give blood (cuz then you can't for 12 months).
Maybe changes in noserings are a harbringer of great things yet to come?

been thinking of getting one lately. maybe to break out a bit. wondering the intensified allergies ive been suffering from were my own 'sign' that it's red enough already. but thanks for the post. my belly button ring hasnt 100% recovered 10 years later, you say the nose is totally reversible?

i want to commend your decision.
i respect women who respect themselves. im 19 and occassionally consider allowing my second piercings to close. i got my piercings as soon as I turned 18 so its been about 2 yrs almost.
i did it because i enjoy being different. I got my ears pierced as high up on the lobe as I could, before the cartilage, because I decided that i hadnt seen anyone with one like that and that it'd be cool. i never flaunt it. my short hair is always over my ears, but it gave me a feeling of coolness and originality.
now, ive gained that in other ways.
i may not need the piercings any longer. but i will wait a bit. until it really becomes something of a bigger deal.
but yeah, kol hakavod.
