Too cute. My SIL has just announced that she's having a girl - I'm definitely going to have to think about getting that book just to make those. Even my husband thought they were cute! Nicely done, Karma!

Free-form octopus sculpture? *snort* hahahahhaha! Too funny. Wow. Thanks for the before and after pics. That's quite impressive. But the finished product is just so lovely! I have never knit booties before, but after seeing these I'm sorely tempted.

Beautiful job! I made the exact same set in yellow (a non-gender specific gift!) and had the same thoughts -- WTF? What do you mean I have to weave in a million ends. That sucks. But they turn out so cute in the end... =)

My gosh, the booties and hat are the cutest set ever! I just got that book from the library and planned to make the booties. Now I may have to add the hat to the list as well. Great work!

Love the booties! I have this book and I am stuck on this pattern. Can you tell me how you did it? I have two pieces knitted and I'm not sure what to "pick up and knit" as the patterm states. I'd appreciate your help. I know this is an old post.
