Because I'm a nerd, I have to correct this point: "she contacted Kayak to point out a technical solution to the customer's question"
I didn't, really. The kayak.com team doesn't need my geekspertise. I mentioned how *I* would do a month-long search using their (very cool) public API. But that's not a way for them to publicly offer the same kind of month-long search that orbitz offers. It's more of a workaround for tech types like me.
Anyhow, that's a random small point. I'm very pleased to be back from a weekend trip and to see the speedy follow-up from the folks at Kayak.

Hey there...I've been following your post on what's going on over there at Kayak...have you seen there most recent blog post about feedback? It looks like they're on to something now...taking the feedback from their customers and actually answering them with some cool tips. I definitely could have used some insider tips on how to get the best fares and the rules on when my baby can fly for free...well done Kayak! Check it out: http://blog.kayak.com/2008/03/28...ng-with-kids-2/
What do you think - should we like Kayak again...my vote is 100% YES.
