Strangling North Dakota with no mercy

This is quite amusing for an apologist for Cuba and Venezuela where shortages are well known. The surest way to starve
people is to add a touch of Marx.

Speaking of starvation has anyone seen Kim Jong Mentally Ill and Che Songe Bob in the same place.

Gravatar To paraphrase Marie Antoinette, let them eat dirt cookies. By God, if it's good enough for the people of Haiti, it's good enough for the people in good ol' commie countries. Or is Haiti a commie country too? Does anybody know? Beak?

Gravatar I've been noticing Beakerkin makes no attempt even on rightist blogs, to answer any topic directly.

Beakerkin's problem with Che Bob is that he challenged him to refute certain facts about Colombia. Beak not only couldn't reply to the questions, he couldn't spell Colombia.

In early 2008, the Venezuelan government discovered thousands of tons of food hidden in warehouses and trucks, being diverted to Colombia or the black market. This confirmed what everybody already knew. Food shortages in Venezuela were part of a concerted campaign organized by the oligarchy. But raids and seizures alone will not solve the problem. Only a serious offensive, to occupy, expropriate and run under workers' control and management the means of production can put an end to the capitalists' strike which is crippling the Venezuelan economy and undermining support for the revolution.

Now that Cuba is recovering after the fall of Russian Stalinism, obesity related deaths are on the rise. Even with the embargo and loss of the Soviet support, they turned yo urban organic gardening.

Gravatar Speaking of rice shortages, did you see the Bill Moyers program on US farm programs? Part was on the idle rice growing lands in Texas.

Gravatar Here we go again with Ren's 2008 Kulak mantra. This type of action always leads to starvation. However commies seldom read actual history.

Pagan

Do note the difference in situations. The folks in Haiti are not claiming food is unavailable. The market has provided ample food unless one lives in Cuba, North Korea, Zimbabwe or any other moronic Marxist enclaves.

Do note that as bad as things are in Haiti the refugees avoid Cuba. It would seem the people of Haiti vote with their feet and avoid the "workers paradise".

Sorry to point out that despite Renegade Eye "great white hunter fantasy" the Haitian people do not embrace failed ideas.

One more thing I do not have a problem with Che "Sponge" Bob. His egomania exceeds that Moronic Marxis from Minesota and is ripe for satire. The bombastic Che Bob is more fun than poking fun at the impaired Troutsky or
the clueless G.

Gravatar I haven't seen that Moyers program. I think it may be on today.

Beak (or which ever identity your using now),

What good does it do if the shelves are stocked and you can't afford to buy any food?

Gravatar that show is on FS. It really is a disgrace how food is turned into a commodity under our current economic system.

Gravatar Graeme

That is a decent question. If you studied my actual posts you would have known the answer.

The market does face distortions and disruptions. At times it is prudent policy to intervene temporarily.

Price controls below market costs lead to scarcity. This is why consumer staples are available in Haiti and not Cuba. Price controls and shortages lead to hoarding, bartering and black markets.

The situation in Haiti and elsewhere are resolved by transfer payments. The markets are adjusting to fuel costs and these things come in cycles. The role of functional governance is to soften the cycle. Marxist solutions have uniformly proved deadly.

For the record I have not used any other identity. I still am perplexed as to what other identity Ren is talking about. Kuhnkat is clearly not me and I find that whole matter funny.

Gravatar Beakerkin: It clearly was you. You didn't sign out as Beakerkin. Is attacking yourself part of your disease? It's this. In the bottom of the comments, it shows you forgot to sign out as Beakerkin, and seem to be addressing yourself as Eitan. Only you could explain what you are doing beside trolling.

It's a relief to know, in Haiti the food will be on the table, just wait until a market adjustment.

The UN Forces cost more to keep there, than the whole economy. The US/France overthrew the only leader who even gave lip service to addressing inequality.

The only Haitians coming to Florida, will have signs saying they are Cuban gusanos.

Gravatar First lets deal with Haiti

Riots of all types are the norm in Haiti. Anyone familiar with Haitian history knows this.

The problem can be remedied with simple short term social spending. This is a far cry from failed nationalization.

Mistake number one is assuming equality is desirable. As we all have different abilities this is not realistic. Secondly all people living like sewer rats is equal but not optimal.

Let the Haitians come. I would love to trade them for Communist like yourself
but even Haiti doesn't want you.

The odd claim that Greg and I are the same person says more about your paranoid delusions than reality. Greg is and remains a manipulator and you remain an idiot.

This is not the first time you had such idiotic notions. Remember when you accused me of creating the gay porn spoof of Mummia.
It turned out the author of that was your friend LWB/John Brown.

I am enjoying watching you twist yourself into a paranoid pretzel. Now Greg is quite the imbecile and screw up, but he has outsmarted you.

Gravatar See this.

You were caught posting attacking yourself. You forgot to sign out as Beakerkin.

Now you know Sonia's real opinion of you.

To me the main point isn't if you are Eitan, the main point is that you are a troll.

Gravatar Ren

You fail to note that you are not quite as clever as you presume. You have and will always be three steps behind me.

I think Sonia is much more clever than you presume.

Gravatar Sonia is more clever than you as well.

Gravatar Ren

Everybody is more clever than you.

Now ask yourself if you believed the farce you created why email Greg if you
thought it was me. The answer is you are
full of shit.

Gravatar Beak doesn't realize that when things are empty, like pockets, they could pack the shelves to heaven and the people would still starve. Let me see if this helps, Beak... Say you've only got fifty cents in your pocket, no credit card, just fifty cents, and you walk to McDonalds because your starving and you can't afford gas for your car. McDonalds has plenty of food to fry but you can't afford even one french fry. So, eventually, they find you dead with your head stuck in the dumpster out back.

Gravatar Poetryman

You are quite ignorant of economics. It is in Mc Donald's interest to feed you at a profit. Price controls interfere with that profit and fixing costs to rates that ensure losses means Mc Donald's will be better of producing nothing and shortages result.

Now you might get a Big Mac on the black market for an astronomical sum.
The rest of the peasants will starve.

You know nothing about economics.

Gravatar From what I hear on the radio, the reason Haiti is starving has a lot to do with us. First their economy is tied to the dollar which has been devalued. Add to that the fact that the commodities market has driven the price of rice as we are dumping stock and buying commodities. The free market is highly over-rated because it assumes greed is good.

Gravatar By the way, Venezuela is not starving. It is making loans to other Latin American countries because of the high price of oil.

Gravatar The invisible hand feels more like a kick in the bollocks to poor. Same as it ever was...

Gravatar Good for the Haitians. Let's have world-wide food riots if needed to feed the people. All capitalism is basically state capitalism. The invisible hand so-called, when made visible turns out to be a mailed fist. Capitalism would not last a week without its state to pamper it, pimp it, protect it and privilege it. In spite of capitalism's ever-increasing totalitarian nature, when the people fight-back en mass. gains can be made.

Gravatar Beak,
The McDonalds story wasn't intended as an economics lesson, I'm sure you can reign champ of "economics"... The story was a little snapshot of your inability to see the "supply and demand and no money to support either" angle, but it was more just a simple way of telling a story that ends with your head in a dumpster.

Gravatar Beak,
Try this on for size > http://belacquajones.blogspot.co...-cull- herd.html ...

Maybe a bit of Belacqua Jones is just what you're looking for. Doubt it, but it's possible.

Gravatar Bob Dylan's "talkin john birch paranoid blues" is a song for beak.
