"Rhodies" are white Zimbabweans - thoroughly unpleasant people who think they still live in Rhodesia. Guess Mugabe's sorted that little illusion out....

Can't see Shinawatra espousing Communism anytime soon! To be honest there's not much coverage of south-east Asia in the British media, so I'm not fully up on Thai politics - even the drug crackdown killings didn't get much coverage here. Or maybe I just wasn't paying attention.
Definitely reminiscent of Berlusconi, though...
