I thought he slagged off 'English' food?
As any canny person knows, the food he'll be eating at Gleneagles will the the finest Scottish cuisine.
Tasty, wholesome, nutritious (?sp) and filling.
Unlike some of that English muck.
Or some of that French muck, come to think of it.
Or porridge, come to think of it.

I wonder if he had the deep-fried pizza? Or perhaps a nutritious white pudding supper with salt and sauce....
I have a French friend who thoroughly dislikes frog's legs and snails - "They are from the south, and they're all monkeys down there."
Seems the north/south divide is a common problem!
