Have to agree with most of that. I do think the BBC's coverage of certain issues is deliberately weighted, though I don't think it's deliberate (it's just much trendier to be a tree-hugging liberal than a realist).
All in all the BBC do a great job and when you compare the £10 a month compared to the amount Sky rake in in subscriptions it's not a bad deal - especially since there's no ads, you can watch it on x number of TVs etc etc! It's not just on TV either, their web site is my first stop for news.
In Northern Ireland all you have to do is compare BBC Newsline to the atrocious UTV 'local' news - eugh.
