I guess they pick up on commercial or quasi commercial stuff. But you'd think they'd know that if anyone was stupid enough not to smell a rat first time round they would once the stuff starts pouring in. Today's crop included the brother of ex President Aristide of Haiti and someone who claimed to be the manager of the London Citibank acting on behalf of someone killed by Sadam (sic) Hussein, with no family left behind. Do some of them ask for funerals, Zinnia? These are the neatest really, the ones make innocent sounding requests regarding services we do provide. Except you do smell a rat when there's a totally illiterate request for a poetry course....

I get so upset about all these people from places like Nigeria... all those dead rich people and their grieving families who can't get the money out, poor souls without a friend in the world so they have to approach total strangers to help them. It must be tragic for them. I emailed one one day to tell him I would send positive energy (but not my bank acc number) his way, but he must have forgotten to pay his ISP account cos his email address had been disabled, I hope he was okay, I mean his evil uncle who wanted the money might have had him assassinated....
