Gravatar I'd like to hear how it works out for you, Grannyp!

Figs? I'd love to take a working holiday as long as it was eat as many figs as you want while you work.

Gravatar Fingers, toes and eyes crossed that this works for you two!

Gravatar been there done that (but not in such a nice environment) and are you doing chineses herbs too?
marvellous stuff, the only health i trust. all about balance not dogma....made me pregnant by a miracle and even tho' it was an ectopic and we never had another chance am so grateful for the experience.
go for it

Gravatar one of my employers did acupuncture for a few days every year, to overcome his crippling asthma - he swore by it. I hope this works for the both of you... it's gotta be better than the usual 'death by misdiagnosis' method commonly available!

You really never stop experiencing and learning about the novel unknown, do you? (smile)

Gravatar I am a big fan of acupuncture Granny P - in fact I am going for some later this afternoon. It apparantly works better if you can try and really relax during the treatment - mediatate or just calm your mind. Sometimes I fall asleep but it's not the middle of summer here and my clinic has little rooms that are dark. I think acupuncture works particularly well for the pain you are describing although you may find it is not a complete cure and you will have to "top up" now and then. But I am glad you and your Beloved are experiencing it together.

Gravatar Top Bloke and I are also acupuncture devotees, although we have separate appointments (very useful when we need to bitch about each other - our acupuncturist is a model of discretion!). I go once a month for menstrual problems and, more recently, early onset of menopause problems, and it helps enormously. Hope it works for you too.

Gravatar Thanks everyone... it goes on. Last session tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed. It certainly has eased and I haven't taken an ibrufen for over 24 hours. So.

Bob you are welcome to pick figs - and eat all you like. I don't know what to do with the bloody things. Still have jars of them from last year....This is one of the few natural productions of our dry island, so no good offering them to neighbours. They all have their own!

Gravatar If only the darn ocean wasn't in the way I'd be over in a sec!

Sounds like our version of zucchini squash. Anyone that plants it ends up with way more than they can use and neighbors that are in the same boat.
