Himself and I have spent breakfast, lunch and dinner together (except when he is away on biz) for the past 12 years or so. I try not to look too happy when he relates his upcoming travel schedule to me.

Got to disagree with you on this one, Granny. Can only speak for myself, but I love being out there wandering on my own too. It's not from any desire to get AWAY from the significant someone - it's just... oh, I don't know... enjoying having your own identity in the world, and knowing that the people you meet (or just nod to) are relating to you as a whole person, and not half-a-unit. Which is not to say units are a bad thing...
