How strange - no hymn books.
I envy you your ability to get up and go. We seem to move now, in ever decreasing circles. Thank Heaven we settled in a lovely place.
Have a good, safe trip.

nice to hear from you, even if its a bit of a melancholy circumstance.
I have a beautiful print on my wall of a Kestrel by a Belgian artist, Carl Brenders. Its called "Riverbank Kestrel", check it out

Funeral sounds very fine, although the no hymn books rather odd...I go for the dark with coloured scarf combo too. I shall always think of your comment now!
Wasn't Kes a kestrel?

Kes was a kestral; definitely; I think. The get up and go, Pat, is an inevitable result of locating out here with family in England. This was never quite intended. But it happens.. No hymnbooks? Yes very odd. The woman next door to me was quite upset and as the tunes came up asked me each time.'Do you know the words?" (Answer in one case more or less, from some dim past memory. Others no.) Kyagirl - thanks for tip. I'll check that out.

Sounds like my kind of funeral. Forgive me for being the only person here who thinks the unsung hymns an improvement.
It's summer here, GP. You just missed it. Spring lasted all of... oh, two days. And now we're starting to swelter. Old Mark's Almanac sez it's going to be a good one this year...

The kestral looks like a beautiful bird and I'd be pretty happy too if they were nesting in my roof. Moving granny p? Wherefore art thou . . . going to go?

Moving round the corner in London =cheaper! Agree about hymns MG - apart from secret vice of liking singing the ones with good tunes, so long as noone can hear? Spring? Summer? Am in Spain. Itīs cold. But flowers are fabulous.

I can't imagine any property in London as "cheaper".
Good luck with the property buyers -- from my experience with their sort, you should consider the kestrel as a scout for gathering vultures.
