Supermarkets are certainly ubiquitous. If Peak Oil predictions prove correct, they will however find themselves priced out of existance and local producers will become vitally necessary again. I'm looking forward to this, although some 'doomers' as they are called, reckon 'peak oil' and the ramifications thereof, will make The Depression seem like a walk in the park. A good time to be where people can actually remember how to grow food.
