I came across your article in the Guardian on how you got a blog published. Terrific!
Am also glad to notice you have concerns around Zimbabwe. I've been there and it was a very beautiful country until about 10 years ago. I do hope it goes back to being one of more prosperous African nation.

This is a GREAT post, Granny. I'm a faces-in-the-ceiling person, or faces in the clouds. I still see them and one day hope to fill a sketchbook with them, but for now I just enjoy them.

Like you GP I am VERY short sighted. I have spent years getting pleasure from the floaters in the jelly of the eye. I saw one that rather looked like Einstein, with all that hair, the other day.

Greetings, Illusions. Faces, alphabets - can't draw them myself but if you can, do. Or just keep seeing them. Floaters? Yes I have them too, Dr C. Is it only the short-sighted can see them?

Was going to add, Illusions, how not to be concerned about Zimbabwe. As well as helpless. Between Mugabe and the Burmese generals which are the most callous towards their subjects? Pretty much equal I should think.

Well if you want to include the Burmese in that bandwagon, then China and its need to suppress can't possible be too far...I was just that someone, apart from the BBC, cared about Zims...

Gee - Granny seems to be taking up a lot of these comments. Pat - have consulted Beloved - yolk is not placenta. What's left as chick develops is inside it.
