Good to see a new post appeared. Looking at it fairly and squarely I must say at least no disaster. We will cheer you up next week.
Keep it up, Elke

I'm sure, as a writer of my own novels, that being known for one in particular might be irritating on occasion, but I also know I'm always glad about the book that brings the people to me ... I was a working class girl in a small town in New Zealand/Aotearoa, who wasn't supposed to become a writer, who had a few good teachers, a mother who remembered poetry by the score of lines, and a few great librarians. I borrowed Charlotte Sometimes at least three or four times. It was among the things that made me who I am. I'm excited to find your blog. And I'm writing to say thank you.

Thanks all - except intrusive ad for Ugg.
Stella - good to encounter you. And am glad Charlotte survived her trip to an NZ island.
