You might be right about Beloved. But Cute (yes very cute)'s name isn't troll so maybe he'll be alright. Doesn't eat everything. YET. (Doesn't get the chance to...) As for that volcano.... well, there are volcanoes everywhere here but I'm not sure this one qualifies -though Billy the K treats it as if did. Dry stone wall is typical here, except when local mayor goes all suburban and replaces them with diddy little concreted ones along the roadsides.

Lovely blog, which I have just found courtesy of, yes, the Guardian in print version. I usually scan the online version. Anyway, the point of this is that we, that is my beloved (as we have referred to each other for many, many, many years)have a house in Lanzarote too, although we are only there for the winter, with occasional forays, as this July, in summer. Where we are is so batty that we are seriously considering a spoof detective thriller set there... My beloved does the cooking too, but it's computers rather than goats for him. (Not to be cooked of course.)Another point of contact is Baghdad Burning, which again I only recently found, after reading the book that was made from it. Really upset that's stopped, I do hope Riverbend is OK and happier now. Anyway, I'd love to hear from you but understand if I don't.
