Gravatar So...if we do make it Lanzarote way (one of these days), August isn't quite the month!?

Gravatar The dog days of summer. Autumn will be here before you know it.

Gravatar That's me. I'm catching up and am really narked at all the signing in I have to do - especially on my own flippin' blog!

Gravatar i was reminded of you in midweek, when we had a heard of hundreds of goats appear in the lot beside my ReStore. i first heard a horse whinny, went out the door to check that out, and there they were, looking through the chain link fence at me. bear in mind that my store is smack dead centre in a small city with a population of about 55 thousand.

they've been hired to do organic weed control along the creek that flows through the city. i'm quite enjoying their company. several people on horseback, and a handful of dogs keep them collected in a happy little crowd, and they're expected to stay about a week.

Gravatar Found your blog at Natalie's, and love it.

I live on an island on the other side of the world from your island, but feel a kinship with all grandmothers who live on islands and who have a lot of other things to do besides dote on grandchildren, but dote nevertheless

Gravatar Hola friends, old and new. Yes, I know I've been hopeless lately - just living my life and trying to write again.... and you know how it is.

Lin - response to two messages - have been thinking about you anyway because of LA fires. And yes, August isn't the wickedest month here - far from it. Best time to come autumn or spring. And in response to remark on earlier post. That isn't my daughter, it's Beloved's. But much loved too. And baby is pretty much like my granddaughter too.

Pat, my friend, sounds like Autumn has hit your way already - with barely an intervening nod at summer. Ouch. Sorry about that.

And goats - nice creatures - though I hate to say it. But make sure they don't break through the fence into your garden...and by the way, how enlightened of your city to use them for this.

And welcome Anne - I see - unless my geography is quite skewed -that your island is somewhere close to our Sarah P. Oh. (Glad to see Levi lately, dishing the dirt.)
