Did anybody hear them talking about this on PCN? There was someone who was arguing for the moratorium who complimented Philadelphia's cleanliness and safe streets. I chuckled, but was mostly astonished. "I don't know anybody who calls our city Filthadelphia," should have been the lead sentence in that statement.
It's humiliating what's going on here. John Street is an absolute disgrace, and he's the kind of guy who plays the race card so hard that he can gain points in the polls every time he's being investigated by "the man," a.k.a. law enforcement.
At this rate, I'm willing to make a trade. Casey drops out of the Senate race, Santorum runs unopposed (or against Hafer, same difference), Casey becomes Governor through some clever appointments and resignations, and Rendell is brought back to take over Philadelphia (after some amending of the city charter) again after John Street is thrown out with the rest of the trash into the Delaware River.
It's sad to see the once biggest and best city in America filled with blight and crime.

As per Dom Giordano (WPHT Phila), the police have told him that NONE of the murders have been committed by a licensed gun carrier.
Mayor John Street is showing his complete buffoonery here.
Instead of going after the lawbreakers who are doing the killing, he is going after gun owners. It's insane.
John Street would rather host cop-killer Mumia supporters in City Hall, than get tough on the criminals who commit murder in Phila.
