excellent comments on McNair....well said. I will add one more thing, most people feel a connection if they got to see an athlete in high school...because they got to see them before "everyone else."
Well, because Air McNair was at Alcorn, there wasn't a lot of exposure until maybe his last year (but still not really). Those of us who lived in Mississippi while McNair was at Alcorn, feel like we got to see and hear about something special before everyone else did. In fact, I'll go so far to say that for the most part, unless you lived in Mississippi during McNair's Alcorn days (or were an avid SWAC follower), you don't realize how dominant of a force he really was.

Great thoughts on Mcnair. Last year, the Packers surely lost thousands of fans in MS to the Jets. We may be the most backward state in the union, or maybe it's everybody else.
