As a 'player' of the field of some decades now, I have found it advantageous to have multiple partners, never having less than three available at any one time.
This not only maintains a sense of freshness and deepens attachment but also allows for a friend or two to pop in so that all of the ladies can find fulfillment simoultaneously.
However, none of my ladies are cheap, although one of them was from that scurrilous madame we know as e-Bay.
Perhaps you need to re-think your investment and attitude before you lose the thrill of the chase.
nostrumdammit - There's nothing like a bit of multiple fret-work I have to say and it's only the expensive models that can achieve such a state usually.
I've heard that there are places where one can go to "rent" such musical ladies (for an evening or I've heard even for weeks or months!). I know its not the same as the relationship you're ending, but it means you can satisfy your base urges while you find a true new partner...
BoT - I've heard that you have to be careful because some of them can corrupt your style and teach you bad habits, which could lead to problems when you do find a new partner eventually.

All my girls are electric! I just get my jack plugged into the one that takes my fancy in the spare bedroom and we make sweet music for as long as I can keep going. There is nothing like sliding your finger up the G-string and If I apply the right effect they get very dirty as well. Maybe you should try one?
Maybe your abandoned acoustic guitar and my abandoned acoustic guitar can run away together.

Just last week I was reunited with the Eko Florentine with whom I enjoyed a whirlwind holiday romance in 1999. I picked her up in Los Angeles, hanging out with some Stones groupies, and she travelled with me to the Mohave Desert, where we whiled away the hours and watched the sun set from the back of the truck.
When we got back to the UK she began to change. One night she went off with my housemate, they got drunk together and he played her so hard her strings snapped and two of her saddles went missing.
After that I could hardly look at her.
We tried, but it wasn't working anymore. Just before christmas I met someone else - an Australian by the name of Mahon. She is so classy.
But a few days ago I bumped into Eko at my parent's house. She has had a makeover and she looked great. We rekindled some of the old magic, but we've both moved on.
*sigh*
To steal a line from the cowboy junkies "You will be loved again ... ", just give it time mate,
