Amen and Amen! How is everyone feeling now? Better?


Gravatar Aww, thank you! I made clam chowder this Christmas but it just wasn't the same -- I need a big family around for it to have the right kick. It was delicious, but the people were missing and it made a difference. I didn't even make a pumpkin pie. I feel unpatriotic or something. I sure miss my big old Simi Valley kitchen, and the folks who used to come and fill it up with love and laughter.


Gravatar Oh yes -- about the pie! I did have a couple of little secrets. One was to use brown sugar for part of the sugar, and the other was to use half-and-half in place of evaporated milk. Or at least part half-and-half. And I always used Marie Callendar frozen pie crusts. Yum!!


Gravatar Maybe you should make Mom's dried beef gravy over toast and that will get EVERYBODY feeling better at the Woody's home. That actually sounds really good right now. Get better soon!


Gravatar I have even eaten some of that clam chowder...mmmm.. I am glad Nancy showed me this link. I am having fun reading...in between trying to put my kitchen back together after termite tenting.
