It is pathetic to call a visionary artist like Madonna any thing but a fabulous expressionist. Madonna Rules.

Awesome quote at the end !! Pathetic is exactly the word to describe Madonna. If you look up attention whore in the dictionary her name comes up as the exact definition.
And a friend talked me into watching part of her interview on Oprah years ago. She is such a complete hypocrite. She talks about how great it is to be a mother, blah, blah, blah.... Then she talks about how she doesn't ever let her kids watch tv. Lets see, she spends several decades corrupting our youth and then she has the audacity to talk about how she's a great mom and doesn't let her kids watch tv. And what irritates me about that is that means she's instructed her nanny not to let her kids watch tv. I've been there!! The parents instruct you not to let the kids watch tv which is hell for you as a nanny but great for them because they can brag about how their kids never watch tv. And they never have to do the tough part of parenting. I would like to see Madonna be a mom 24/7 and never let her kids watch tv and see how that works.

The qoute used in this article from Mohammad Ali is a very ignorant one. Madonna clearly has a completely different view today than she had when she started her career. Just listen to the "american life" album! She doesn't "mock" christianity at all! The performance contained many messages about the suffering in the world e.g. AIDs, starvation on the video screens. Have you ever heard Lourdes speak, miss chatterbox?? The girl is clearly very intelligent and speaks almost fluent french! If that is what no t.v. does for people I think it should be encouraged! You must not be a great parent if you let your children watch tv as it is easier on you! Thats not what parenting is about!!!

Little Miss Chatterbox, if I may be blunt, you're a fool and an idiot! I suppose you're one of those people that judges a book by its cover, because that's clearly what you've done with this whole crucifux bit of Madonna's show. You obviously saw some picture of the whole disply...or better yet, someone told you about it...and you've drawn some conclusion without understanding the meaning behind it. Madonna is beyond shock value, in fact everything she does nowadays is sometimes a bit too deep. You can't take everyting at face value.
People like you bore me, and it's people like you that make the world such a hateful place! Madonna is someone that is against eveything that people like you stand for; ignorance. She challenges people to think outside the box. You clearly can't. So, the next time you want to sound like you have it together by posting some assanine comment on a blog, study up and know your facts first. Everything you said was just plain dumb.

Hey everyone,
I have been a Madonna fan since I was like 8! I am now 32. I have always thought of her as a smart buisness woman a great showperson. At her concerts you get all caught up in the theatrics of it cause that is all it is, a show.
Now Madonna as a person well at least the person we know as seen in interviews and such well that is different. She really has no original thoughts or ideas. Yes she can reinvent her "look" but so could anyone out there. She has to do that to stay in the music business I guess that is how she sees it. Of course she had changed having kids most women do, no suprise there.
I find this act offensive as a christian of course. Just as any other follower of their faith would. Which brings me to Madonna's claimed faith as a Kabbalah follower. I thought since she has become so "faithful" that she would have a little more respect for not only other people's beliefs but also God. This to me however shows otherwise.
I am simply giving my opinion on this news. Her judgement will come when she faces our Lord and only he can say what happens.
Take Care everyone,
-J

The other day, I heard a fan on TV say that Madonna was "God". Scary. Looks like you may have similar folks visiting your blog.

The only FF stuff I've picked up and liked in the 2000s has been Kesel's stuff. I hate hate HATED Waid's run. It was either this blog or listencomic's that perfectly deconstructed why Waid's run was so shite.

Oops. Delete that last comment, wrong blog. My bad (multiple windows open) Kind of embarassing.
Anyhow, Madonna being called "God" with a straight face is ridiculous, but I'm also pretty shocked at some of these comments here. A lot of people need better role models and quick.

Thanks for stopping by, very excellent points you make there.
Madonna is a desperate has-been and her recent record sales verify that. The reason I found the quote by Muhammad Ali so fitting is that she's no different now than she was when she first started out--bashing Catholics and Christianity with shock value. And what's really sad is that even her own fans have abandoned her. Why? Because they're tired of her "act" and some have gone as far as to recognize what a no-talent she was and always has been. MTV made Madonna who she is, not her singing skills because she has none. When was the last time she had a hit? Why does she have to bash Christians in order to make political points? Could it be because she's too stupid to express her views any other way? She's old, she's boring and she's tired.

Wow!!! And all the Madonna sycophants come out of the woodwork. And in all my studying of politics and life I missed how deep Madonna was. I saw her talking about her conversations with Wesley Clark during the 2004 election season and I was embarrassed for her. I don't think deep is the word I would use.
Lets see I'm a fool, idiot, bad parent, dumb and ignorant because I think Madonna has been a corruptive influence on a whole generation of kids. I'm sorry but I don't think her corrupting influence is up for debate. Do I need to recount all the things she's done over the years? And I love how instead of rebutting what I actually said I got called names. Really impressed with that.
I actually liked Madonna's songs in the 80's and liked her movie "Desperately Seeking Susan". But you can't deny that she constantly does offensive things to get attention and she is the one who lacks depth and is ignorant. She is good at what she does: singing and seeking attention. She should stick to that.
And I'm a little concerned at how defensive and over the top her fans seem to be. Do you think Madonna is god????

Wow GG:
You are doing your thing here. I am saddened to see the small mindedness of those who blindly toss insults, especially since this is your blog!
I liked Madonna as a kid cuz her stuff was catchy. Does she have musical talent? NOT AT ALL. Does she have extreme business acumen? HELL YEAH! She is clever, but her irreverance disturbs me. Her latest publicity stunt is just about the same as Kanye West wearing a crown of thorns. Nothing new, and highly offensive.
As much as she is into the Cabbalah, I woulda thought she would have more respect for established religions. Then again, she never changed her name did she?

Time to burn buildings!! Go rampaging through the streets!!! Where are the placards?!?!
Death to Madonna!!
Oh, wait.
Christians don't do that.
Seriously, Madonna bores me. Considering her "sexy" act is getting old, I think she's just getting desperate for attention.
