I just watched this today (TiVo'd) and the move from the small screen to the smaller screen didn't work very well, I have to admit. It was hilarious when I saw it the first time...

Maybe, it had to do with the beginning of Weekend Update being cut off, who knows. Comedy is a fickle mistress.
