I can't even watch this. We have a couple of teacher relatives, and they are really insufferable leftists. Scary to think they have influence over our children here in America.

I agree that this teacher should not have singled this girl out, that was wrong. However, this seems harmless to me compared to the children that are exposed to Rush Limbaugh while riding in their parents cars.

Are you kidding? In terms of raising kids in regards to morals and values, that is the job of the parents to do so. Basically, you are bashing parents for doing their job in raising kids according to conservative values you don't agree with.
I find it ironic liberals say everything is relative, there is no absolute, no right or wrong, and that anyone who disagree there are intolerant, yet are the first ones intolerant of other views that disagree with them.

What was really terrible about what the teacher did was not so much what she said to the girl (the intimidation and bullying are bad enough), but on top of all that, she had this entire event taped apparently for us to see. The girl is not just publically humiliated before her classmates, but now before the world. Does the teacher have any shame?

This is ridiculous. This teacher should, at the very least, be put on some type of probation. We need to teach our children to think for themselves, not scold them for having an opinion that is different from our own! What is that teaching them exactly?

What values would a child be learning when they listen to Rush Limbaugh? In what way are his values conservative? He doesn't behave like a conservative. He has been divorced 3 times and is addicted to drugs. Rush Limbaugh has done a great disservice to the people in this country, people that live well below the means of Rush but are told 'they work hard, just like him, so you better vote Republican or your money will be taken away from you'. In truth, Rush doesn't care about these people, he is only concerned about paying more in taxes himself, and unfortunately his audience doesn't know any better. I'm sure no one has an easier job than Limbaugh.

I find it ironic that conservatives pretend to be conservative when in fact most of them are not. My in-laws are Conservative Christians, they are the few that I would call true conservatives. I have been cursed at repeatedly on conservative blogs (sometimes by christians), again, how is this conservative behavior? I think you and GreyGhost are the few that have not cursed at me for voicing my opinion.

The point is not what values or lack of values Rush has. My point remains- it is the job of parents to raise their kids and allow them to hear whatever influences to guide their values. Not teachers, and especially not teachers who rely on publically humiliating one of their students to push the teachers' own mores onto that student.
As to your points about Rush and his sins, I thought we are not supposed to look at another's sins since you say we can't condemn anyone's sins.

If you are going to use blogs as your proof to judge conservatives as hardly conservatives, then can do the same with liberals?
Bad apples exist in all camps.

As a Catholic I can go to confession and confess my sins to my priest, and that would include what I have said about Rush Limbaugh.
