Maybe that wasn't water Andy Young was drinking!!! LOL!!!!

As far as Andy Young, I wouldn't call him an idiot. A man who faced death threats because he wanted to register folks to vote, a former congressman, a successful mayor, and a former US Ambassador isn't what I call a stupid person. Except for him pledging Alpha. Yuck!!!!

As for his comments, I was taken aback somewhat. He is right to say that Clinton has a machine ready for Day 1. He also is right that Obama lacks experience.

However, he must remember that W had a machine and surrounded himself with "experienced people". Howd that work out?

I don't want Hilary. Too much baggage. Too many unanswered questions.

I like Obama and will be voting for him in the DC Democratic primary. When Obama wins the nomination, let's see Andy Young and John Lewis then.

Gravatar I would have to agree that Andrew Young is not an idiot. However he is a supporter of Bill and Hillary Clinton. I have to agree with the comments he made in reference to the experience of OBama. I remember the first black man in space was blown up on the space shuttle, and the second brother was blown up on a shuttle. Started me to wonder if space travel is for black people. The point I'm trying to make, because the challenge is difficult do we wait for a perfect time. I don't think that there will ever be a perfect time. If not now when? I recall the last black man on the shuttle made it home safe.

Past successes doesn't excuse you from moments of idiocy and this was clearly one of them on Young's part. And please tell me how Hillary's "experiences" differs from Barack's when you consider that beyond helping to secure post-September 11 recovery $$$ for NYC, her legislative achievements pretty light as is her executive experience. Then too, Hillary has never run a business, a city, a state, or a Cabinet department. While Barack has worked as an attorney on discrimination cases and voter rights and as a pol led campaigns to monitor racial profiling, immigration & campaign reform, relief for Congo, etc. Young can go after Obama record all he wants, but to center his points around his race and whether "he's black enough" for black voters makes him come off as nothing but an utter buffoon.

I don't know if you're white or black or you're just being sarcastic or just straight-up ignorant with that comment, but I'd appreciate if you clarify any future comments here with some respect.
