Wow!,Is this woman for real? She should hook up with the lead singer of My Ruin. I hope that she wakes up from her nightmare and meets Jesus before her life on earth ends. She is a perfect example of a soul enslaved by real demons! How cool if she used her talents for good instead of evil.

Frankly I'm not sure on how associated to evil she really is. That's for her to deal with. Doesen't interest me.
What does interest me is her craft and the use she puts it to.
We need to separate the artist from the person; her art may be impressive but her personal views are highly debatable, just like everyone else's.
Reactions like that confirm in my mind what i heard first time i heard galas... a real singer, where the voice is today, what music is about and so much more...

I'm a gospel recording artist and a huge Diamanda fan. I saw "guilty x3" at UCLA and was mesmorized. I've also seen "Plague Mass," "This Sporting Life," & "Wild Women With Steak Knives." The times I've met with D in person, she has always been kind, always rememebered me, and always been grateful that I was not just another "Christian" writing her off. No artist living or dead has touched and inspired me more. P.S. This article states, "don't bring the kids" well I brought mine and they LOVED her! Scary is not art but the hatemongers who don't want to repent.
Olivia, I think you should know Diamanda's work before saying that she uses her voice for evil.
She sings against AIDS, poverty, discrimination, and she tries to make this world better making her fans think about these big topics. Isn't this the best thing an artist can do?

I myself believe that we make our own demons and that Diamanda is an angel of conscience in this corrupt world.

"her nightmare" is pure truth. proud to be also a greek orthodox atheist. I remember the priest sending sms from his mobile phone hidden between the bible pages, while doing the funeral service for my grandfather. Remember being harrased by a stinky fat monk in the night train. Remember the priest who sent some bones via regular mail because some poor remote relatives forgot to pay something - that's recent it happened just last month. What a dim-witted comment on the part of anyone who thinks Diamanda is "evil". Evil are the ones who have persecuted the people that suffered and continuously do at the hands of political injustice. Diamanda is a Queen.
