Gravatar Mahavishnu for sure...

Gravatar As much as I like the idea of a bari/standard double-neck, I think the most practical reason for a double-neck is alternate tunings. e.g. Maybe the rhythm part for the chorus is open-G, but the verse is standard tuning. Or maybe you have a really cool intro/outro in a weird tuning that doesn't really work for the rest of the song.

Or...I imagine that if I played slide it'd be nice to have one neck set up for slide and one standard.

Gravatar well, the one on link on eBay is at $6,495.00... and less fancy!

Gravatar more strings = less cool

although I do like Mosrites.

Gravatar A beautiful piece of engineering and design!
Look at this then scroll down to the Gretsch, it looks crude and unimaginative in comparison. Why didn't Jimmy Page play one of these?
I have already built a Moserite 6 string look a like and I hope that one day I'll get round to building one of these!
BTW this is the best quality photo I've seen!

Gravatar Yea, I think that guitar solos are sometimes used to just fill up space, but you can't use both guitar necks at the same time anyway, so how would that help a guitar solo?

It IS a sweet-looking guitar though. No doubt.

Gravatar well here > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V...h? v=VAHk14dRXgo you can see (at 0:30') how to shift from an interesting chords development on the 12 neck to just another solo with plenty of notes played fast on the 6 neck... took a famous example to make it clear.

Gravatar Love this guitar. Not seen one this good for years. I guess not many people use them anymore. I would love to get a go on it..oh yes!!
