Gravatar I have a DiPinto Galaxie 4, which packs 4 single coils each with their own on/off switch for the ultimate in choice. Personally I love getting the bridge and neck pups on, giving you a ridiculously twangy top end coupled with a nice fat bottom end for chords etc. The end result, especially through a fuzz, is VERY Ernie Isley, hehehe...

Gravatar How about this Loewenherz Bass with 12 single coil pickups?

Gravatar Ooh yeah 4 pickups now we're talking, I like the pickup design too!

Gravatar Thanks guys. I might have to feature some of those!

Gravatar OK it's got 3 split pickups but look a those coloured switches, I've always fancied a Tiesco Spectrum 5!

Gravatar My first electric- a Daimaru- had those very same pickups. Ah yes...

Gravatar I've seen that guitar before...

My memory is telling me that it was in the Lafayette Radio Electronics catalog roughly around 1970. Lafayette was an electronics mailorder and chain of stores based in Syosset NY. They specializing in hifi gear, test equipment, components, ham radio, etc. And they had a few pages devoted to guitars and amps. (See the wiki page for more.)

But yeah, that shape, that green sunburst, the four pickups, the floral pickguard, the slide switches.
