Sound Off on the Nutt

Gravatar Thanks for stopping by my blog and putting a hyper-link on yours back to mine. Great photos of the protestors, I've had them showing up at exhibits of my artwork. I must confess, I was a hippy of sorts in my day, and know the mindset. It's amazing that there are those who just haven't progressed past it, and those who thoughtlessly glom on to it. The idea that you'd be able to justify showing up at a military hospital to protest GIs on Christmas Eve is bizarre, especially from those who believe themselves to be so loving and sensitive, and, oh yes, brighter than the rest of us. Talking with my own little gaggle of protesters I was surprised by the elitism, stereotypical thinking, and closed-mindedness. Carl Jung, the great Swiss thinker had a good explanation, he called it the "retrogressive restoration of the persona", which is nothing more than the refusal to recognize things have changed, and coupling it with a retreat to a past knowable mindset. Things have radically changed in our world, and the liberals, in particular the far left, haven't been able to put two and two together yet. They want to hammer events into old worn out molds of conspiracy theories and Vietnam. Yet they have yet to come up with a single viable suggestion or alternative, other than a variety of head into sand ones.

Gravatar I'm glad your doggy is doing better. I have an 18 year old dog named Holly. A year ago I had to hand feed her to keep her going, but she's doing fine. I'm happy to hear about the improvement.

Dogs rule!

Gravatar Awww GN, I'm glad your pup is better this week. I adore Golden's and they truly become part of the family (in my case my child). Give her lots of hugs, you'll both like it

Gravatar I'm having a Twilight Zone moment... I'm over reading Mike's blog and then come here and see this. Cool, GN! And so happy to hear Doggie is feeling better

Yeah, Mike, these people have definately retreated to a more comfortable mindset. One where the concept of evil is so difficult to face that it overpowers even the instinct of self-preservation.

Gravatar I'm glad your dog enjoying better health. She's a beautiful dog.

Gravatar I did not know your pup was sick! I'm so glad she's doing better. Hard when they get old, and at Christmas!

Impaled...now that is a concept... I don't know...they are just sooo good at "cover thy butt".. It would be like impaling jello...the runny kind.

Take care, and enjoy your pup.
Donna

Gravatar - Keep Holly safe and warm, GunnNutt.

- Maybe the sequence should be impaling the blamers first, followed by a mercy round of fire by the squad. Senate Intelligence Committee leaks are like that old guy who farts in a Walmart aisle and looks around at everyone else. He who denied it, supplied it.

- You have my vote!

Gravatar Usual Cranky Stuff? Yep, Gunn Nutt, I know just what ya mean. Seems like when I get into a heated debate with some Kerry/Gore voter they get into all these what if senarios. What if Bush lied? What if Big Oil and Haliburton really run the White House, etc, etc. You get the picture. They just piss me off...so I'm sending this out into http:// land for all you "WHAT IF"ERS"!
Enjoy and Happy New Year!!!
