From your post
"I've never met a Vet who's asked what I've given. I don't know whether its good manners, lack of interest, or that it's just never occurred to them to ask, but the Vets I know are satisfied and proud (quite rightfully) of their service and sacrifice. They never expect others to give what they have and are the most grateful recipients of support and respect shown to them by civilians."
I will tell you as will most veterans what you have given, there is no need to ask. You and the others there are "the foundation". The reason that men join. My wife was never a US Marine, but without here and family, why would I have gone? You are as important to vets as their rifle and their buddies.
You are indespensible.
Thank you for all you do.

Interesting to get a taste of what it's like to be on the dark side... and yeah, I would have been "horrified" to be mistaken for one of them, too.
jim b, what an awesome thing to say. Semper Gratus. Love, mp

Trevor - You read everything! You are undoubtedly the Army's speed reading champ. Thanks for reading my stuff. I read all your posts, too (even the ones that are over my head).
SK, Linda and Donna - I get more from these evenings than I could ever give back. Its really a pleasure to be there.
Agnieszka - It's pretty typical Wash. weather. One day its freezing the next its summer, then back to freezing. We lucked out this week.
Capt B. - We'll never quit on our SuperHeroes!
LF - I was probably singing so loud (and bad) I drowned everyone out.
jim b - I've learned so much about unconditional love and respect from the parents and spouses who stand with us. Their strength is truly inspiring

As usual, great job Gunn Nutt. Seems like I'm never going to get back out there, hopefully that will change soon. Know that I miss all of you and think about you when I'm not there.

Navy wife told me about this site and I think it is one of the most worthy sites for the work you are doing to educate people. Too bad the nutz out there do not appreciate our military and what the military does so they can go around whinning like babies about nothing.
Most Vets I know will not tell you they are a Vet. They are quiet and humble. Vets deserve the respect of all Americans and to them I say, "Thank you."
I will be linking this site to my blog. It is one of the best. Thank you for it. There are civilians out there that need a dose of the 'truth' and what good people, civilian, or military will do to stand by their country, not against it.
God bless you!
