Don't you have a consumer advocate on a local radio or TV station? Bad publicity never fails to get attention.
One reason why debit cards are still a poor substitute for credit cards. With a credit card, you can't be over-drafted, and all you have to do is contest the charge, and the rest is taken care of.
Granted, there has been talk about credit card companies starting to find ways to charge interest to people who pay off their balance each month. I guess if they go down that road, then I will need to use my debit card more often.
The local Jimmy John's in GI double tagged my card last month. And their equipment works. I get a little nervous when handing any card over to someone that doesn't swipe the card within my view. Sorta like handing someone a loaded pistol. Someone is crapping in your mess kit.
Sounds like you might need a new banker too...but hey...they gotta pay for the Taj Mahal's they work out of. Why do banks need to be so elegant when 80 percent of their customers rarely...if ever...set foot in their bank? Good Luck.
