getting banned from the library is not an appropriate punishment as there are too many resources there that are required for classes. I'm sorry to hear that for you. Keep appealing the aide question. Persistence usually pays off in the end. Especially if you have sound proof that Mr. J's grades are slipping because of the loss. BTW. Found you on SupaMum's blog.

Is'nt it discrimatory and restrictive to have J banned from the library? They have his PSD paperwork do they know of the condition/diagnosis...I am not looking forward to my struggles with Mr 5 at school next year. It is ridiculous the way the system works..so suddenly he's cured...gee whizz who invented that medicine???

Sue, she has been clever and the ban is on lunchtimes and recess, he can still go to the library for class activities, yeah they know of his diagnosis, but most of them take it with a grain of salt. I had to walk away last night, as after 2 hours of earbashing I may have really blown my stack, as it was I probably said a bit too much, something to the effect, IF HE HAD AN AIDE YOU MAY HAVE A DIFFERENT CHILD TO DEAL WITH, as I walked quietly out the door.
Guido, an electrical teacher is one who teaches the Electical Subject, they learn basic wiring.
Welcome to my blog Brian!
Tigger, I wish you were my kids teacher.

Ann,
It would be nice to teach your children. I find that some secondary teachers are absolutely shocking. We had a grop of about 30 secondary teachers come to our school about 4 weeks ago. They were gobsmacked with what was going on. We heard many of them say "stuff this, it is too much work" I know i am biased being in a primary setting but i must say the secondary school system in victoria scares me

Tigger, they are overworked, have no motivation and have been there too long, how you change that is a mammoth task. Most of them don't have a love of kids like Primary teachers do, it need someone bigger than me to try and solve the problem

I have 15 minute interviews. Though I have been to secondary college interviews and it would take about 2 hours as you need to see more than one teacher.
