The Defense Perspective

Gravatar I can't believe places like Houston haven't moved on from the letter-of-the-law regarding discovery. Tarrant County has an open-file policy. In fact, we are now completely electronic in that there are no more paper files. I get access to my client's D.A. file via a secure website.

Gravatar That sounds like a great system. Brazos County is still in the stone age on discovery. The County Attorney has a totally closed file, while the District Attorney cherry picks the cases they let you look at. Anyway, thanks for stopping by. If you read the Chronicle article in total, it mentions the equitable discovery system up in your part of Texas.
