Whoa,,,,I don't think it was so much the "world courts" ruling but more our concern about Americans jailed in Mexico or any other foreign country.
The AG may have used the world court as a substansive "reason" for the appeal but that's lawyers trickery.
So now when Americans are denied.....remember this.....
Americans are already denied in most of the world..especially in Mexico..there are a lot of horror stories about Americans picked up in Mexico for nothing and locked up and if they don't have the money to buy their way out they stay there..
Texas is a sovereign state, just like the rest, the world court, Mexico, and any other gawd damn foreign entity should NOT have a say over it's court rulings.
As Guy says, Americans seldom get US Counsel when arrested oveseas....if you break the country you are in laws, buyer beware.
