Gravatar It's a pretty truck. I can bet the deals are pretty hot these days.

Chrysler has been trying to get me to trade in my Charger even sending me hand written letters begging me and the wife to just come into the dealership.

It feels weird when the customer is once again king.

Gravatar Yeah...but they will still try to steal the trade in...by the way...I didn't mention that this is 4X4 which I need like another hole in the head...but price was right.

Gravatar Pretty truck. I had a little short-bed red dodge ram 4x4 when they first came out with that body style; loved that thing! Of course my daughters totaled it! Good thing it was a dodge, tho, coz neither kid got a scratch on them!

Gravatar I have been satisfied with the Rams...been driving them for over 20 years. I didn't really have any ideas about trading..only had 37000 on the Red Ram...but the warranty was up on it and the new ones have a lifetime powertrain warranty...sweetthing says it is my MACHO truck...a 4X4 Hemi...heh...I told her no way because I was not gonna put a gun rack in it...my 9mm fits nicely in the driver's door compartment

Gravatar Not a Dodge fan myself, but that's a pretty nice truck!! And a four door!

And -- wait. You have an appt. to see what they can do about your knee? You mean there's options? That's good, right?

Gravatar Thanks kath...yeah, several from complete rest to microscopic surgery...doesn't look like a knee replacement...at least yet. There are some type of physical therapy that will help torn ligaments and the baker's Cyst but I am guessing it will be just staying off of it as much as possible for a couple of months...let ya know next Thursday

Gravatar Nice truck, Guy. My Dad and Mom are Dodge truck folks from way back when they drove away from the wedding chapel in a '54 pickup they named Hugger. They'd love your new White Ram.

Sorry to hear about the knee. Hope it all gets better without too much fiasco or cost. Take it easy, my friend.

Gravatar Great looking truck GuyK, I think you should keep it. That Hemi will come in handy as well as the 4wd when you are pulling your travel trailer or hauling a load.

Gravatar I left a comment on FB for you. I drove Dodges in the Arctic, #1 in my book for reliability, cold starting, handling and ride, next was the Ford whose power train didn't like the cold, GM, well let's just say if you wanted to be towed back during a white out take the Chevy, that fine snow permeated the ignition and bingo no spark for the plugs. The biggest reason I still have that Ford F250 is I got all the bugs out of it, did two shakedown runs on the Alcan then turbocharged it for two more Alcan runs. I've been driving a Chrysler product since '94, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, one of those years when they got it right. Nice truck.

Gravatar Jack, I bought a 1978 F250 heavy duty 4X4 in 1980 when I first got to fairbanks...4 speed 400CI engine..a fuckin' tank! Drove it over every road I could drive in Alaska plus some that I wasn't supposed to and at times in the bush just made my own roads. Wish I still had it. Put 200,000 miles on it before I traded it. They made REAL trucks back in those days.

I have got good service out of the Rams...been driving them since 1988 and usually trade every three to four years. Reckon this might be my last one though...giotdam things just keep costing more and more even with the factory incentives. Only reason I'll trade this time was the deal and the life time warranty...

hell of it is by the time I get a trailer brake, running boards and a new matching topper I'll have to spend another two grand...damn.

Gravatar You're right by the time you get it dolled up you'll be down another couple grand, you'll still have one of the last trucks around. That topper alone will set you back half of that cost. I had a dodge power wagon in Anchorage, that beast went everywhere, like you it was off road past Petersville more than once before the feds locked up the area. Then it was on the Denali highway between Cantwell and Paxson every chance I could get away, I put up a photo of that Dodge on FB where I dragged my ATV trailer up there during a caribou hunt. I've had that Ford F250 in places most goats wouldn't go, pretending to be a 'gold prospector', ah the joys of youth.

Gravatar Sorry about the knee, hope all turns out ok at doctor.
And agree that is a nice looking truck.

Gravatar buy it -- that sucker has my widgets in it, right there is that smooth running, long lasting powertrain...

Gravatar Nice Truck. IJ says we should get us one before the smart cars force them all off the road. lol

Have you seen them golf cart smart cars? Geesh, I can't imagine driving one of those suckers... Not good.. lol

Aww, sorry about your knee Guy, I know that's got to be a bummer. Getting old is no fun..

Gravatar Thanks VIcki...yeah, I am afraid under Government motors the selection of true pickups is gonna be slim and none...Ford will probably continue to push them out unless they wind up going under and they may well do so because it is hard to compete with the government on any damn thing.

I reckon I'll survive the blown out knee one way or another...may have to get me an electric scoot to ride around on
