Hmm. Cultural differences. A pie would have been more to my taste, and more American, that being what I am. But then that guy was not American, and shoes are easier to get by the Secret Service than blackberry pies, especially if they don't have bombs in them. Some folks say "as American as apple pie", but I prefer the rich purple stain of an American wild blackberry pie thrown by an American. Yummy in the Tummy- splat! Time to get even America
