It's the problem you find everywhere. And it's not just the feminization (and there's a HUGE amount to say about that!), but the type of music is, although it's Christian, a subtle form of secularization.
Why? Because it goes out of style. It makes the given church have to keep up with popularity, making the churches compete with record lables. If they can't provide what's hip on Billboard, they won't make it as a church.
The timelessness of Truth far trumps the culture of "What's Popular Now", for while this might bring in some, it won't keep them as styles change.
I have no problem using culture as "Intake", but no matter what our Christian beliefs, if we can't bring people in and help them go deeper, we're bound to loose them.
And of course..as a Catholic, I firmly believe that without the Sacraments, the fly-by-night converts of our local Eagle Creek-type churches will close long before the Catholic Churches will. Why? Because all these mega-style religions have is popular culture and emotion...people need more depth than that.
I think the religion of Billboard has proven that.
(Hope this comment made as much sense to you as it has to me at this late hour in which I should be sleeping....)
