And now they just passed "cap and trade," part of the Obama mantra of "wind and solar energy only".
This is part of the assault on fossil fuels by this administration. First, go after our cars. Now, go after our power plants. What's next?

I love the Fellini analogy. Janet was just on the BET awards and called her brother the "I" word - it is so over used, improperly used, etc. And I don't mean to sound unkind but the entire Jackson family is really dumb, they are like the black Beverly Hillbillies.
Now that Michael is dead, the real Fellini movie begins.
I'm already over it.

Terry,
So true. Last week was just the trailer, so to speak. When I saw Jesse Jackson was getting involved, I thought to myself that maybe what we're talking about is a Fellini-David Lynch double feature...

You are right - it is going to be a spectacle.

The worship of Mr. Jackson is starting to become extreme. In my lifetime, I remember the deaths of figures such as the Challenger Seven, Dale Earnhardt Snr, and when Usama's Henchmen struck. In none of the three instances did I see the mourning, serious idol worship, or other extreme ways these people are mourning this pop figure.
Of course, in George W. Bush's era, when Dale Senior died, it only lit a spark in the Administration to live up to Dale's standards and "rattle the cage" of the enemy, and that September, we learned what he meant by intimidating Usama's Henchmen, sympathisers, Al Qaeda, homicide bombers and their funding sources. It set an American era where the nation and its leaders were driving a black number three, taking no prisoners, and taking down strongholds of the Taliban, and eventually Saddam, whose $25,000 payouts to families of homicide bombers proved Mr. Hussein's support of terrorism.
I don't see what this current administration will honour the ideals of Michael Jackson except run a bunch of tributes, and some of them reminded me of abuse of terminology that a dance friend and I discussed. This Jackson worship is absurd, and I fear we'll see Jackson worship on the same level as Elvis worship was when the original King of Pop died, but I was too young and too little to remember those days.
