keke. i've been to those parts of Geylang for a field trip too. was an eye opener! it was like a museum or zoo or something to the likes. Ladies just stand there like some exhibition stuff on one side of the road and all the tikos will stand on the other side of the road just checking them out. After having my supper with my friends, we return to see the same guys standing there still cehcking them out. wtf have they been doing? maybe cos stripping the ladies mentally is free?!?
well, anyway, traditional weddings are still good to attend for the shark's fin that's sure to be served! sorry to environmentalists, I love shark's fin but I promise I'll try not to touch them too much. Once a month? haha. Yeapz. Wouldn't it be much more romantic and exciting to just pop into a church somewhere out there in the world and tell the priest to do the ceremony for you on the spot and say the words, "I do" ? I don't think anyone should wait for marriage to have sex.. that just means they end up getting married earlier, and for the wrong reasons. The highest rates of divorce in the US happen in the red biblical states where premarital sex is frowned upon and people get married the youngest. The city in the US with the lowest divorce rate... liberal Boston.
You can see it in Singapore, people get married more because they want steady sex and to move out of their parents house rather than anything else.

Where on earth did you get the absurd idea that people in Singapore are marrying for steady sex? Last I checked, Singaporeans were not having enough sex, presumably preoccupied with other more mundane concerns.

Quite fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on your personal convictions), attitude towards sex for many still holds as a yardstick for moral integrity and fidelity. To presume that it can or should be regarded independent of love is preposterous.
