I've just published a rebuttal of SB's nonsense inre Chomsky. Point being: you wrote that Chomsky is not a socialist. Could you explain this statement? As far as I'm aware, he considers himself a libertarian socialist.

He definitely uses the term 'libertarian socialist', as distinct from socialist. I don't think it hurts, in some forums, at least, to draw a fairly clear distinction between the two. Chomsky has criticised Lenin, for instance, as well as 'communist' China. He cites as precursors the anarcho-syndicalists of Republican Spain, and the kibbutzim of Israel. He tends not to advocate for centralised, bureaucratic solutions to domestic problems.
For those reasons, I thought it necessary to make a distinction.
